I have been looking for tree house inspiration all over Pinterest for the past several years. I love anything that is charming and seems to fit into the environment it lives in. At the base of a mountain, in the little town of Squamish (in Canada, just north of Vancouver), lives this charming woodland tree house that is also an amazing play structure. I should have taken more images, but I was there with adults who were eager to go on a hike.
The attention to detail in this tree house is incredible. I love how many of the windows are in odd shapes, adding to the sense of whimsy. It is clever (and must have been quite a bit of work) utilizing the trunk of a tree as the base of the playhouse. Although, given that it looks bolted in at the bottom, I wonder if they brought it in from someplace else (this resides in logging country). The colors of the tree house are both playful and natural, blending into the colors of the surrounding trees and bright blue sky.
You can’t see it from this angle, but there is a rope bride too! So much fun to have a bridge connecting the two tree houses! You can see from the picture that there is also an awesome slide! Your welcome internet for the inspiration that is this super fun and really well-designed mountain tree house!
